Art Teacher Jessica Johns is an inspiration to her classes at the Oak Bluffs Elementary School. This year she will focus on the art of older children in the school.

Oak Bluffs Show

May 26 to June 18

Opening Reception:

Saturday | May 27 | 4 - 6 pm

Historic and beautiful Oak Bluffs is the subject for this show.  From Campground cottages, friendly beaches, scenic ponds to estuaries, this town has it all. Special Oak Bluffs events and the town’s social diversity provide artists with a never ending source of inspiration.

Night Heron Gallery Reunion Show

June 22 to July 5

Saturday | June 24 | 4 - 6 pm

At the end of 2022, the Night Heron Gallery on Main Street in Vineyard Haven closed its doors after 12 years. In celebration of the talented local artists who contributed their considerable creative energy, a reunion show will be held at Galaxy Gallery from June 22 through July 5th.

Up Island Show

July 6 to 19

Opening Reception:

Saturday | July 8 | 4 - 6 pm

Up Island celebrates the beauty of the Vineyard in its past present and future. The Menemsha fishing fleet, the Aquinnah Cliffs. Misty bogs and rocky beaches, the ever changing shoreline.  Quiet and timeless vistas preserved for posterity to hike and enjoy.

Saturday | July 22 | 4 - 6 pm

Let it GO! Just put it in a square. Big or tiny, the square has a presence of its own. All sizes and all mediums are welcome. This challenge to Island artists will be a fun and exciting event.

Farm to Table Show

August 3 to August 16

Saturday | August 5 | 4 - 6 pm

Working farms add significantly to the quality of life on Martha's Vineyard.  Farms and barns, farmers' markets brimming with delectable produce, fields full of crops or dotted with sheep. Celebrating our farms is the focus of this show.

The most beautiful time of day on the Vineyard. Embrace the sunsets and twilight. Reflect on the quiet of the evening. Lights in windows, starry skies, lanterns and campfires make our evenings a time to reflect on the day. Exciting events like Fireworks and Illumination. Explore the dark sky and bring our humanity together.

Retrospective Show

August 31 to September 15

Saturday | September 2 | 4 - 6 pm

Martha's Vineyard has been a special place for artists to settle for over a century. It has often been referred to as a place of light and inspiration. This show will feature 6 very special artists who have called the Island their home for most of their lifetimes. Highly respected by their peers, they will present work from past to present. Come meet these treasured Islanders and see exceptional art that has stood the test of time.
